The market sold good news. Now the Fed and four giants speak. Weekly Operator Report · Week of July 27–31, 2026
Last week the market delivered its verdict on tech's report cards — and the verdict was "not good enough." Google grew profits almost 300% and fell 7% on its bigger AI budget. Tesla missed and dropped ~16%. Intel doubled its expected earnings and STILL closed down 7.9%. Add an oil scare that briefly pushed Brent over $100, a new tariff covering 99.4% of imports, and the 10-year rate at its highest since January 2025 — and the S&P finished at 7,412, its second straight week below its health line (now ~7,470).
Now the summer's main event: the Fed decides Wednesday at 2pm, Microsoft and Meta report that same night, GDP and PCE land Thursday morning, and Apple and Amazon report Thursday night — the biggest 72 hours of the summer.
This week's full report covers the news in plain words, the debt-cycle and price-tag check, the seasonality headwinds now stacking up, the decision tree that runs the whole week, the winning lanes and the weak list, the shield trigger, and the 12-minute Monday checklist — plus a new downloadable companion: the full 30-page Market Strength Index Report.
Without this map, you're flying blind into the biggest week of the summer. The report doesn't predict — it prepares: the levels marked before the open, the strong lanes separated from the broken ones, the coin-flips flagged so you can skip them. That preparation, done the same way every week, is the real edge.
