Trade90x Weekly Operator Report (October 5-9, 2026)

Jobs were weak. The 10-year rose anyway.
September added 29,000 jobs against forecasts of 84,000 to 100,000, August inflation came in softer than expected, and traders cut the odds of an October rate hike to about 1 in 5. Stocks barely moved: the S&P 500 closed at 7,722.72, down 0.27% on the week, while the Nasdaq rose 0.45% and the Dow fell 1.26%.
The number that mattered moved the other way. The 10-year Treasury yield closed at 5.26% on Tuesday and 5.29% on Wednesday, and those two closes switched on the rate warning light the report had printed the Sunday before. By Friday a government bond paid more than S&P 500 companies are expected to earn.
The edition also grades three calls in public, including the two the desk missed, shows how many companies are actually rising under a flat index, and names the second warning light that is getting close.
